Dear Fellow Star-Gazer,
Happy Super Wolf Full Moon and Happy New Year!
The Earth, Moon and Sun are aligned and unusually close as the new year begins. Emotions could run high and this morning's news from Venezuela and Iran should not surprise. 2026 is set to be a year of
turbulence:
With Uranus reanimating the degrees it held in 1941–1948, echoes of that era’s shifting alliances and technological leaps are inevitable. Expect substantial shifts across Europe, the USA, the Middle East and East Asia. In particular, Saturn's movement over key natal points in the USA chart signals a nation seeking new direction. Seeds sown this year could redefine alliances and governmental structures into the
2030s. Political theatre will be in no short supply—with markets responding with unpredictable mood swings.
Uranus' Gemini ingress also indicates new chapters for technology, communication, and, probable political brinkmanship. This brings scope for new investments: sectors to look out for are those specialising in miniaturisation. Small is set to be very, very beautiful.
The word 'change' is overused. It seems that every politician wants to drive it, yet few seem able to deliver it in such a way that the well-being of constituents and planet Earth benefit. Our relationship with the Earth and all its resources will require concerted effort from late June as Chiron makes temporary entry into Taurus. Whether through clear climate change or natural disaster, we could be served a lesson in the need to preserve.
Every living cell is in a constant state of flux. It would be more appropriate to describe 2026 was one of rapid development: arguably at speeds not seen for more than a century. Leaders will be hard pressed to keep up.
Expect to see new alliances forged as early as this month. The Sun, Venus and Mars ( a relationship combination) have been in formation for some weeks - and
that theme continues even as all three move through new areas of the zodiac. By the solar eclipse in February we will surely all be surprised at the emergence of new trading blocks.
This is accentuated by a rare alignment on January 24th (highlight that date in your diary) that echoes 1903 - just a few weeks after the Wright Brothers made their first flight. What kind of flight will capture our imaginations this time?
Flying cars or accessible space travel?? Or will the flights be those of political ideology and new parties emerge?
From the Sun's entry into Aquarius on January 20th, through to 26th, I anticipate many shocks and surprises. With so much planetary activity on one side of the Sun, we might also see intense solar flares - with yes, the prospect of satellites being affected. Back up your computer files in case electrical
circuits are affected.
On a positive note, wherever Aquarius is in your natal chart, expect to be captivated by possibilities. Yet Aquarius is a Fixed sign and yes, for some individuals, obsessive or blinkered tendencies will be on show. If, however you are one of those individuals who would benefit from a 'focus reboot', then your wish could soon be granted!
The end of January also finds Saturn and Neptune in the final phase of their 35 year cycle. A poor, exhausted Saturn in the last degrees of Pisces suggests quicksand - with ideas a plenty but lacking energy to see them to reality - yet.
Saturn and Neptune conjoin on the World Axis on February 20th. If history repeats, then there should be signs of a political change in Russia. This
alignment differs from those of 1917, 1953 and 1989 as the alignment is on the World Axis.
Across the globe, with Saturn acting as cosmic gatekeeper and Neptune weaving dreams and delusions, watch for ideologically-charged governments to either dissolve or solidify with surprising speed.
In financial terms, Saturn can be a depressant. The
alignment with Neptune could see a fall in oil prices as the global world order shifts. The collective effect - together with technological advances suggests price moves that affect all sectors of the economy.
Nor should we forget Pluto which is settling into Aquarius. Digital sovereignty and the future of global currency is coming to the fore. Are digital borders more fragile than we realise? What does all this mean for
crypto currencies and for stable coins. In response to demand, I am offering a Crypto event on February 7th (see link below).
The January monthly class will take a deeper look at economic and geopolitical shifts foreshadowed by current planetary patterns. In this event I want to look closely at silver, palladium, wheat and, in equities, PAAS and GE as well as two still under the radar companies. Register for the event.
ECONOMICS & MARKETS
Jupiter opposes Pluto in July turning up the volume on cycles known for dramatic economic reversals and power struggles. The
so-called ‘gambler’s curse’ between these giants (July-August) brings questions about debt, speculation, and the wisdom of crowd behaviour. July’s t-square with Haumea suggests tension may boil over in certain emerging markets. Volatility seems assured; history tells us that wise investors consolidate and hedge in the first half, watching for opportunities in leisure and wellness sectors as the year matures.
Precious metal cycles remain reliable shelter in swift-moving economic storms though expect volatility here too. Silver has always been my favourite and, as attendees in the monthly events know, it has not disappointed. Our forecast of new highs was - and continues to be - spot on.
MOVING FORWARD
My mission with these newsletters is to give you context, perspective, and the detailed astro-financial lens with which to approach each month. I will share more in-depth analysis on commodities, the growing importance of food security, and the sectors most likely to weather storms in each month's class.
My late husband, Michael, a Sagittarius, must be delighted by my many travels since his passing. 2026 promises
more of the same. What would thrill him most (he was a professor) is that I am doing more teaching. I am delighted to tell you that as January 5th, the Introduction to Financial Astrology e-book and video will be available (email juliecityscopes@gmail.com).
As exciting to announce is that a curated financial course will be offered in several languages. the first, specially curated for my Turkish students and using
examples from the Istanbul Stock Exchange will begin in March. Each course will be tailored to the stock exchange of the country concerned. The brochures are in preparation and will be available in the coming days. Email juliecityscopes@gmail for information.
Meanwhile I am back to writing and finishing the solar book written with my great friend and colleague Oner Doser. The plan is to have a finished manuscript to take
with me to Florida for final edit in two weeks.
I am delighted to have been invited to speak at Ray Merriman's Slovenia retreat in late May where I will show my research on Mercury's 88 day trades. More on that next month!
For now,
Yours from the stars,
Christeen
