Dear Fellow Star-Gazers,
Happy Full Moon and Happy Lunar Eclipse!
This special Full Moon aligns with Neptune - the planet of loss and will likely not be a happy day in the markets.
The expected Interest rate cut
would fit with Mars' aspect to the Lunar Node but may not be as large as some hope. I will explore the link between the lunar node and interest rates in the event in Toronto next month and also for the Kentucky Astrology Group (see below for links).
An eclipse can bring shocking news and the explosion of pagers across Lebanon which killed nine and harmed countless others introduced the world to new weapons of war.
Neptune's position so close to the World Axis brings unwelcome visions of the future as that planet moves into Aries next year. We can but hope that this was an 'overture' whose themes do not make the final production.
EARTH MOVEMENT, INDICES, GOLD & SILVER
In the last few weeks, planetary alignments have coincided with
strong earth movement - thankfully not leading to major loss of life. However, this eclipse finds the Moon at perigee and the effect on the Earth Crust could yet be considerable.
The fact that Neptune is involved with this alignment may be indicative of strong sea movement. Although the threat of tsunami has been apparent for weeks (especially in Japan), this week could see a major event within 72 hours of the eclipse.
There is no guarantee that a natural disaster would render havoc in the markets, but until Mercury crosses the World Axis on September 26th, it seems unlikely that there will be strong upward movement across indices.
GOLD & SILVER
By that same date,
Mars will be closing in on 13 Cancer (reaching that degree on Saturday 28th). Analysis of gold prices suggests that after Mars crosses this degree, prices fall. Coming just a few days before the Libra (diplomatic?) Solar Eclipse, perhaps there will be peace signals and with the threat of war reduced, the gold price will come down.
Silver prices too seem to have a preference for Mars moving through geocentric Cancer.
Coupled with the Moon in Pisces (as will be the case at this Full Moon), SLV could continue its rise this week but fall with gold.
FOREX
The coming solar eclipse certainly accents the chart for Japan (as did the April 8th eclipse). The Yen has suffered in the last few months but has returned to a level against the
USD last reached in 2023. I am not confident that this will hold. Indeed, if my reading is correct, then the Yen (against the USD) could fall again mid-October.
WAR
As suggested, with the solar eclipse on October 2nd aligned with asteroid Astrea and dwarf planet MakeMake, there will - hopefully - even temporarily - be moves
toward reduction in many hostilities.
Yet the October eclipse will be visible across Argentina. Reviewing that chart leads me to wonder if there will be another attempt to seize the Falkland Islands before June 2025.
The sheer number of potential theatres of war continues to grow and it is hard to be optimistic about 2025.
INVESTMENT
Next year Uranus enters Gemini where it forms a trine to Pluto in another of the Air signs (Aquarius). An explosion of intellectual energy should see the emergence of new companies working in space and, of course, artificial intelligence. The art, as always, is to get in on the ground floor.
In the
last few days, the Sun, Jupiter and Pluto have made the kind of connection that has, in the past, coincided with the IPOs of hugely successful companies. Jupiter is moving through Gemini - in a sense setting the scene. It is likely worth reviewing recent IPOs on the exchanges in which you have interest.
APPLE AND GOOGLE
Though the IPO charts for these companies are very different, there is a common theme: both have planets occupying degrees affected by Saturn at its recent station in June. Taking into account the whole planetary picture, both companies could come under further scrutiny with their share prices suppressed until mid March 2025 at the earliest.
CRYPTO
My Optuma software has fabulous back testing options, and I am having fun testing various strategies - from both the Heliocentric and Geocentric perspectives. Who knew that Bitcoin excelled when Mercury passes through heliocentric Sagittarius or so disliked the Moon's passage through geocentric Gemini? By contrast, Solana has a marked preference for Venus moving through heliocentric Sagittarius (we shall see if that works this week!). Darren
(darrenh@optuma com) continues to offer 10% discount to readers of this newsletter (let him know where you got this from) and gives a free month's trial of this amazing programme.
HARMONICS
As many of you know, I am fascinated by harmonics and am delighted to report that I will be speaking on the 5th harmonic for the Mayo
School on October 5th (a wonderful way to spend my birthday!)
TRAVELS & FINANCIAL COURSE
Hot off the press is that I am stepping in for an unwell colleague and speaking at Ray Merriman's investment retreat in Lake Bled, Slovenia this weekend where I will present research on the NASDAQ and Hang Seng index (also being
shown in my regular monthly events).
This invitation sabotaged the launch of the financial course which seems to have decided its own launch date - the Solar Eclipse or soon after. More on that next time.
In keeping with promises to Michael, I am flying to Canada on the anniversary of his passing and will be with good friends that evening. It will be a delight to
meet with some of you whilst there. I am following that with visits to Philadelphia and New York and then home ready for the next monthly event!
Wishing you all well
Yours from the stars
Christeen
