Dear Fellow Stargazers,

Happy Full Moon - (also known as the Beaver or Frosty Moon).

Firstly, a thank you for all the good wishes that have carried me through these last few weeks. We have now held the commemoration and celebration of Michael's magnificent life and I am returning to work. FLIGHT
This Full Moon - at 4-5 Sagittarius is on a degree area now associated with flight. The Wright brothers took to the skies from Kitty Hawk, North Carolina with the Midheaven at 5 Sagittarius. 

This weekend, as Mars approached this degree, both Kiev and Moscow witnessed drone attacks that drew the attention of military generals who view this nasty development in that theatre of war with increased concern. Like the doodle-bombs or V2 bombings in the second world war, these weapons of war are super threatening. 

We can but hope that our attention is not drawn to the skies for even more negative reason and hope that our skyward attention is drawn to other activities:

SPACE

Astro-scientists have detected an energy particle from millions of miles away - locating an unknown energy force as the cosmos reveals new wonders. That all this is occurring as Pluto begins its journey through Aquarius (the sign most associated with scientific discovery) is timely to those of us who are fascinated by the cosmos and our place within it.

On January 20th, 2024, the Sun and Pluto align in Aquarius - an aspect that hasn't occurred since the 18th Century. They meet at the exact degree where Jupiter and Saturn conjoined in December 2020 and will surely bring new impetus to space exploration and general scientific advance. 

Research took me back to the launch charts for Sputnik and man's first excursions into space - including man's first steps on the Moon which coincided with the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction at 0 degrees Libra (the World Axis). Those two planets align again in April 2024 - but in Taurus. I wonder if our news might be dominated by the threat of a space 'land grab'? 

Looking further forward, in 2026, Saturn and Neptune conjoin at 0 Aries (opposing the Moon landing conjunction) when there might be less jubilation about the scientific success of a mission, and instead concern that plans to create a space landing station herald nefarious action that boost the potential for Star Wars.

Of course, there will be umpteen interpretations of what this conjunction will mean for humankind - and interpretation does not have to be wholly negative:

I am confident that these alignments will also coincide with developments in energy efficiency and will soon present my work on the connection between planetary alignments and energy cycles. I await with interest the outcome of this week's COP28 conference and wonder if this event will be the backdrop for significant oil deals.

WAR

Last week I gave a talk for students in S.E.Asia which led me to look closely at charts for China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. (I will incorporate some of this work into next weekends' 2024 overview). The planetary influence on those nations chart are every bit as challenging as those for countries in the Middle East and indeed for Russia and Ukraine.

As Pluto and Haumea hold their right angle, unless there is a great change in human behaviour, we should all be concerned about the increased potential for World War 111. 

I am a great believer in energy following thought so don't want to write about this possibility - nor do I want to discount the potential for other planetary conditions bringing positive developments. That said, the Solar Eclipse of April 8th 2024 is likely to bring singular challenge that manifests in August as a banking crisis (yes, I doubt we have seen the last of these).

EQUITIES

In my last letter I explained that if traders responded to the simple planetary pictures identified in the past as indicating a market 'crash', then we should expect a fall in index values. Only the Australian All ordinaries index turned negative. The next key dates for possible downturn are Tuesday December 5th and Wednesday December 13th. I anticipate that December 13th-19th will be a broadly negative period.

 FINANCIAL COURSE

Thanks to the kindness of colleagues, I will be visiting Florida in January as part of my recuperation, and so need to delay the start of the financial course until the Spring - although I still plan two 'introductory' events (so that you can see if the material and teaching is what you are looking for).
