Dear Fellow StarGazers,
Happy First Full Moon of the Year!
May it be a healthy and happy one.
It hasn’t got off too well for some………..
MERCURY AND MARKETS
As Mercury reached its retrograde station last Friday (14th) the UK news was dominated by Prince Andrew (no longer HRH), Boris Johnson’s party on the political ropes, Novak Djokovic’ visa rescinded in Australia, whilst Ukraine announced a major cyber-attack.
With the latter, it is interesting to note that the last time that Uranus and the lunar Node travelled through Taurus together was the period of the Crimean War. History repeats with only small variation. The situation could get very ugly in late May/early June.
Mercury ‘the messenger’ certainly had a full post bag last Friday. Mercury doesn’t always retrograde at this time of year but did so at similar degrees in 2016: - though Venus wasn’t retrograde as it is presently. To forecast we also need to consider the effect of Venus retrograde in Capricorn as it was in 2013.
Studying the S&P or FTSE (London) indices of those earlier times confirms what we might expect of both Mercury and Venus retrograding in Capricorn (the sign of big business): loss. We should expect markets to experience a down-turn into the end of January and reach a turning point on Friday February 4th.
Mercury’s speed matters and the differential between its speed and that of the Moon is of particular interest. It’s important to recognise that not all Mercury retrogrades are the same: with some lasting two full days longer than others. Although there is a sequence to these, decoding the effect is tricky as each market behaves differently. MUCH more research is
needed though early results suggest trading strategies could be determined with profitable result.
The big news during this first quarter of the year though is the interaction of Venus and Mars and their final conjunction in early March – close to the degree at which Jupiter and Saturn formed their Grand Mutation conjunction in December 2020. By then all the traditional planets will be in forward motion and plans that have been stalled should gather momentum.
Along with that should come rising stock prices.
If your technical analysis agrees, then there should be buying opportunities in late January/early February.
MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS
As you might expect, when Venus meets with Mars, the accent is on alliance. Their first ‘meeting’ mid- Capricorn will surely bring news of mergers of large corporations sharing distribution services and so cutting costs. Their final conjunction, in the first degree of Aquarius, is all about working alliances and team building. Expect to experience this in your
own life – whatever your sign – and for each of us to be more interested in being members of groups or associations: perhaps seeing this as an antidote to pandemic restrictions.
SOLAR ACTIVITY
The Sun is our life source and support system. Solar Cycle 25 is underway and is not behaving as expected. True, increased solar activity was anticipated – but not to this degree. At market level, if the past does indeed repeat, then this increased activity should be mirrored on Earth: once again suggesting that indices will be on the
rise.
Though the McWhirter cycle signals a low as the lunar node passes through Aquarius, analysis of the Dow Jones index shows the low to come earlier - as it passes through Aries – i.e. in roughly 18 months’ time.
PROPERTY
The interaction of the Lunar cycle with the Jupiter-Saturn cycle correlates with the property cycle. As the Node moves through Taurus, prices tend to rise before a significant fall. (Note that I expect the next recession to be 2026-2028). Obviously, prices vary through the various cities of the world but, in general, I anticipate land prices (and property) to
increase in value through the coming months but for those prices to collapse in the second half of this decade.
BLOCKCHAIN
Please don’t stop reading:
You don’t have to be buying crypto to be affected! Blockchain technology will affect every area of our lives. Governments will fall as power moves from the few to the many. This technology is here – and to stay. It is an exciting development that promises much. Yes, some see the theme of ‘emperor’s new clothes’ but this will not be true in all cases. There
are now many – thousands in fact – of blockchain currencies available.
Last month I issued an Astro-Crypto e-book. This is still available at 29.95 GBP (www.financialuniverse.co.uk) but will be withdrawn by the next Full Moon to be replaced by a new service entirely. The e-book has received excellent reviews and needs now to be expanded and to move to subscription service. Please email office@cityscopes.co.uk to
order.
I hope to have this new service in place by the ‘Financial Astrology for the Curious’ 4 hour ISAR workshop. I note that this isn't listed on www.ISARastrology.org yet but please be assured that it will be within the next few days. If in any difficulty registering, please contact me directly.
2022 FORECAST
I hoped to prepare a 2022 forecast, and also one for Bitcoin but was sabotaged by Michael’s deteriorating health and a collapse that necessitated another hospital stay (where no visits were allowed due to Covid). It was a horrible few days, and I didn’t function well.
Thankfully, he is now discharged, very, very much improved and was dictating a reference just yesterday afternoon – followed by a few steps into the kitchen. This is some wild roller coaster!
Al this by way of an excuse for not being as on top of things as I hoped. It seems though that the cosmos wants me to focus on cryptos – which is what I plan to do.
One last thing: I lost an important email that was a reply to my last Full Moon letter, and which asked about a consultation. If it was you, please accept my apologies and do please write again.
For now, I look forward to connecting with you at one of the upcoming events as listed below.
Until then, wishing you safe and well
Yours from the stars
Christeen
