Happy Full Cold Moon or – by another name, Long Night Moon!
This last lunation of 2021 aligns with the Galactic Centre: a super massive black hole of about 4 million solar masses, which powers the radio source Sagittarius A. It also coincides with Venus’ retrograde station – perhaps providing pause for thought and a listening moment??
What could be achieved? Peace on Earth? I’d like to think so, but history suggests we might not all be pulling together this weekend……….
News tells us that the geopolitical risk factor is high. Furthermore, Venus can be a warrior planet and, with Saturn and Uranus at right angle to one another on December 24th, (and yet to be in contra- parallel in March) strains and cracks in alliances are more likely than not.
We know that there is significant build-up of military personnel on the Russia/Ukraine border and cannot rule out the possibility of escalating difficulties in that region. With Venus aligning with Pluto several times in the coming weeks, and Mercury headed toward a station that will be at right angle to the NEXT solar eclipse (30 April), diplomats will surely have their work cut out. Tension will likely continue for some months with skirmishes worryingly
frequent.
And then there is solar activity to consider:
In recent days, and after a long period when few if any sunspots appeared, there has been an outbreak of solar activity. When this increases, then stock prices tend to rise. Could this bring a quick rise before a fall?
Venus last turned retrograde in this area of the zodiac in 2013 and, in January 2014 there was marked drop in the value of several world indices. That there is no alignment of the Sun and Mercury in Capricorn (often marking upward surge) adds to the potential for a drop in value before the next Full Moon on January 17th.
Should that be the case, you could look for buying opportunity. Though I have fears for the middle of this decade and have forecast turbulence from late 2023, there is likely much to be gained from further investment – and across multiple sectors. Block chain technology is set to revolutionise many industries and those at this cutting edge should do exceedingly well.
On that note, I have completed my Astro-Crypto ebook!!! It is now ready for purchase (29.95 GBP) as is Trading with the Moon Part Two (39.95 GBP). We might not get the automated system up and running today but, if you are interested in purchasing
either, then email office@cityscopes.com and we will send an invoice and get products to you.
(NB There have been requests for a Bitcoin 2022 presentation and I will prepare that before the end of the year. Those who bought the 2021 version will receive a note when this is ready).
CYBERSECURITY
Cyberthreats are likely to gain momentum through 2022. At a very basic level we should all upgrade to best possible security and have new passwords for the New Year.
Yet there is so much BEYOND our control and threats made to governments and companies that we likely don’t get to hear about. Those working in security services will surely be increasingly concerned. After Jupiter makes its move into Pisces at the end of December, the number of these threats could increase bringing with them the very real possibility of full scale cyber attack (January 9th?) and affecting banking systems especially.
CRYPTO-CURRENCIES
Another – and very real possibility – is that it will be the crypto currency sector that is adversely affected. I am not hopeful of a rise in their value in January but instead think that – as with equities – that there will be buying opportunities (though in this instance I would be tempted to wait until end January). January 14th – 18th could be particularly difficult for cryptos generally.
PRECIOUS METALS
This week the mean lunar north node moves into Taurus – one of the Earth signs and yes, one of the ‘financial’ signs of the zodiac. This transit lasts for approx. 18 months. If the past is indicative of the future, this is not promising for precious metal prices.
PANDEMIC and COVID VARIANTS
As forecast, Covid 19 has produced many variants. Herd immunity is surely building but even so, the variant that arrives mid decade will likely be devastating. In the short term, travel restrictions are likely to continue, with supply chains under threat and the survival of many hospitality businesses compromised: a probable major factor in bringing down indices in January.
NEW WORLDS
Yet mankind has been through equally devastating periods before, and we are still here! As many of the slow-moving planets move to different signs and sectors of the zodiac in the next few years, new horizons beckon. There is ingenuity at work and, perhaps – and hopefully, - unseen forces, leading us to better times. Comet Leonard might even sprinkle us with ingenuity and an extra helping of kindness!
LONG NIGHT MOON
As we experience this Long Night Moon, perhaps we should allow our imagination to run riot, to look up at the stars and envision happier and brighter times ahead, whilst also giving thanks for having survived what has been a truly challenging year.
I can honestly say that I have never worked so hard in my life. I am not a natural nurse or carer but somehow my husband has survived and, as I write, he is sleeping and free of infection. A new team of carers starts with us on Monday, enabling me to continue my client work. The new house rule is that only conscious and deliberate positive energy can enter our home! - paving the way for a brighter 2022. Michael has already proved some of the medics ‘wrong’
– in no small part thanks to your good wishes. Without these, I am sure that we wouldn’t have enjoyed a few happy times in 2021 – for which I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Wishing all of you safe, content, and confident that you will conquer new challenges in 2022.
For now,
Yours from the stars
Christeen
