Dear Fellow Stargazers,
Happy Harvest Full Moon!
So, we're now into October and the Sun is passing through Libra the sign of balance – when it's not uncommon for there to be a stock market reckoning. You may remember that I wondered about that last year:
the 90th anniversary of the 1929 crash. Many of the astro-signals that appeared last year and which reflected that earlier time, are still in play. This month, with both Mars and Chiron retrograde in Libra’s opposite sign, Aries, and tense planetary formations mid-month, all is yet possible. Certain dates standout: these include Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th October and the week beginning October 26th which could offer a very bumpy ride indeed.
What's important about Mercury’s station (14th) is that it accents degrees configured with the present Saturn-Uranus cycle. It may be that events this month herald greater difficulties next year.
It's long been recognised that the hard aspects of Saturn and Uranus coincide with downward movement in equities.
Yet these moments also present buying opportunities. The advantage of monitoring planetary cycles is in identifying sectors likely to witness growth. These are usually linked to Jupiter’s position by sign.
Though Jupiter makes entry into Pisces mid-May through July 2021, full entry is at the end of that year. Jupiter then moves on into Aries in May 2022. Investors could consider buying shares in companies linked to these two signs – especially if related sectors experience the expected downturn. Very briefly, Pisces is associated with the sea, pharmaceuticals and media, whilst Aries connects to military hardware, anything sharp, competitive, world beating and 'cutting
edge'.
At this point I will state that I feel particularly negative about the next but one Full Moon (the next is on October 31st) – also a lunar eclipse on November 30th which is when we
could witness further correction or major falls.
PLUTO AND DEBT RECKONING
One of the major clues ahead of the 2007/8 global financial collapse was Pluto’s Capricorn ingress. That planet is now making its slow transit of the last decanate of that sign, making right-angle to dwarf
planet Eris as it does so. Hard aspects bring conflict and, in this case, indicate the potential for echoes of those earlier woes to be heard –loudly. Governments must surely now be ultra-concerned about levels of debt. I don’t think that we have seen the last of banking collapse. It is hard to know where will be ‘safe’ but my immediate concern would be for Australasian banks.
US ELECTION
Between the US election day (which coincides with Mercury’s direct station) and the Inauguration in January 2021, there is a Sagittarius solar eclipse. The chart for this event suggests legal battles that
take years to resolve. To this, add trade disputes (see Europe paragraph below) and currency wars. Midst this chaos, a new administration in the USA (either a revitalised version of the present one or a totally new one) has to settle in. Few would envy them negotiating this period – and with the pandemic likely still raging.
All that can be said with any confidence is that whoever is elected to the office of President of the United States will face extraordinary challenge in 2021. My reading of the chart for the inauguration
suggests the strong likelihood of a Vice-President taking over before the end of the second year of the presidency.
ASTROLOGY AND WORLD EVENTS
I was thrilled and delighted to be asked to be one of 16 world-class astrologers presenting at the next Astrology
University summit this weekend, October 3-4. The summit is FREE to watch live for 48 hours. Follow this link to register here and you'll be emailed the details for how to watch the live event. https://www.astrologyuniversity.com/summit/ (If you can't make the live event, you can get an ALL ACCESS PASS and all of the talks are yours to keep, plus some great bonus videos. Get your pass here.)
My talk is on the Outlook for Europe. This is a little different to my presentation to a group in Dublin
recently. I will give attention to Spain and a major eclipse mid-decade.
In November, I will be speaking at the Breaking down the Borders virtual conference (https://astrologyconference.org/) where my talk is on the charts of leaders and nations.
CRYPTOCURRENCIES AND GOLD
Over the last few weeks, the cosmos demanded that I focus research attention on Bitcoin. I anticipate a change of gear
here – with the potential for fresh energy bringing price increase from October 6th and even stronger upward push around October 14th. I am not sure that this will continue past October 22nd and think a stronger rally will come in 2021.
As for gold: I remain bullish – especially around the Hallowe’en Full Moon
(31st).
SATURN
Saturn stationed on Tuesday and once again made its presence felt. Michael had a small stroke and is now in the stroke
unit at Kings College Hospital here in London. I am pleased to report that he made great recovery yesterday afternoon and has spoken to me – clearly – on the phone this morning. I am hopeful that he will be home soon. And so the roller coaster ride continues. Without your support, I could not cope.
Until the next newsletter, hoping that wherever you are, you are safe, well, content and surrounded by
good friends and neighbours
Yours from the stars
Christeen
