September 28th FULL MOON LETTER

September 28th  2015

Dear Fellow Star-gazers,

Happy Full and Super-Moon,

Yes, this Full Moon coincides with perigee when the Moon is closest Earth. Though there is a perigee and its opposite (apogee) every month, it doesn’t always happen that these coincide with either New or Full Moons. This one is special in that this is also a Blood Moon (when the Moon appears reddish in colour) – the last of a series that was thought to bring chaos to the Middle East. You can view the eclipse live at http://www.ccssc.org/webcast.html

Recall that there was a solar eclipse just two weeks ago. The geo-magnetic field is altered between eclipses which might explain why history is punctuated by eventfulness around these celestial dramas. It may be that people act ‘unusually’. On the positive side, this can be a good time to break habits. On the negative side, these forces could be at the root of compelling behaviour that is less than wholesome.

It is not necessary to list all the extra-ordinary events that have occurred in this last fortnight: the refugee and European border crisis, the deaths in Saudi Arabia, protests in Singapore, the Pope’s visit to the United States and his many speeches there, the freeing of the journalists in Egypt and the last UK citizen held in Guantanamo, the Volkswagen and FIFA debacles. The list goes on and on whilst the enquiries and inquests into these various events now begins in earnest.

Within this last fortnight also, Saturn has made its final geocentric crossing into Sagittarius: the sign associated with the legal profession. We can be sure that as Saturn passes through this sign (until early 2018) the professionalism and dedication of experts in this field will be under particular scrutiny even as they seek recompense for those who have been caught up in recent events.

STOCKS
Stock markets too have suffered since the solar eclipse. The downward turn may yet have some way to go. Years in which Mercury retrogrades in Libra (2001 and 2008) were marked by dramatic falls. It could be that further falls will occur in October – though yes, I do think that there will be full recovery before the end of the year.

I am looking for buying opportunities – perhaps in late October or early November. It isn’t necessary to buy at the absolute bottom so I won’t mind if I am slightly ‘out’: what does matter is picking good stocks! For those in the US, I recommend Grace Morris’ newly released  “Stocks to Outperform the Market in 2016” available through  www.astroeconomics.com

Those interested in other global markets might care to note that I don’t think it too late to purchase stocks in data mining companies, companies involved with infra-structure projects, bio-techs and the health industry generally. Of course you should do your astro-homework and check dates of First Trade. Your financial advisor is unlikely to do this for you but I recommend it as a fascinating and rewarding exercise. I would also look at the fashion and design industries which should benefit from Jupiter’s move into Libra next year. Indeed, there may be buying opportunities for these stocks on Thursday October 8th .

A cluster of planetary activity over that weekend suggests a trend change from Monday October 12th. Large scale equity moves are most likely around the next Full Moon however. This takes place on Tuesday October 27th, coinciding with both Mercury and Mars crossing the degree held by the Sun at the recent solar eclipse. When Mercury passed this degree (prior to recent retrograde motion) in August, markets slumped. October 27th could bring similarly large scale movement.

PRECIOUS METALS

Gold prices peaked in 1980 and again in 2011. Though the planetary signatures at work on these occasions do not recur exactly in this quarter, there is some evidence to suggest that mid-October will see a small spike in gold prices. Strong moves are more likely from next year and into 2020.

OIL
Low prices are likely to continue in these markets until the end of the year. Those investing for the long term could view the latter part of this quarter year as a buying opportunity. There is much to suggest that these prices will soar into 2018.

WEBINAR, ASTRO-FINANCE COURSE AND BOOK

The September Equinox Webinar is now available (GBP 36). The first class for the Astro-Finance course will be recorded later today. It proved impossible to find a time of day on a Sunday that suited all those interested (from Clifornia to Hong Kong and Autralia!) so these classes will be made available for down-loading with two tutorial sessions open to all and separate skype chats for each student. Full Information is on the website www.financialuniverse.co.uk

Last but not least, the first few chapters have gone off to the publisher who is keen to see fast publication. I have booked time out in Cyprus to do the final edit so, at long, long last and with Saturn on my case, the finishing line is within sight.

For now, wishing you all happy investing - in family, friends and health foremost

Yours from the Stars

Christeen
