Dear Fellow Star Gazers,
Happy Full Moon!
As at this time last year I am writing this on the shores of
the Mediterranean. The Moon appears as a Chinese lantern above a still and black ocean. On this side of the sea all is so very peaceful and beautiful yet less than a hundred miles away, on the other side, the war in Syria goes on and, at the time of writing, there is an escalation of violence in Jerusalem.
For hundreds of years war in the region has coincided with the hard
aspects between, primarily, Saturn and Pluto. Over the last two years as those two planets have been in what astrologer’s term ‘mutual reception’, all sides in this appalling conflict have appeared intransigent. The long-term right angle between Uranus and Pluto, and Neptune’s close alignment with the planetoid, Chiron, has coincided with escalating chaos and the emergence of IS which could be viewed as a dISease ‘infecting’ many young people world-wide.
Heart-rending stories of parents travelling to the region to attempt a rescue of their children and young people who have run away to join the IS cause or who have been killed in fighting are profiled in many national papers. These youngsters – some no more than 16 years of age– have clearly been impassioned: attuned to a frequency that many of us find hard to understand.
Looking at the ages of those profiled in the papers made me wonder how many were born with Pluto conjunct the Galactic Centre – or who may have other planets in this area of the zodiac.
Given that the Galactic Centre (roughly 26-27 Sagittarius) holds the entire galaxy in its thrall, it is not hard
to imagine it giving out powerful and compelling radio signals to which some people are compulsively addicted. It might also be that this powerful signal will stay at significantly audible level – at least until Saturn passes through this area in two years’ time. A grim forecast but one that fits with another study:
A Prof Raymond Wheeler of the University of Kansas identified an
approximately 100 year cycle that was possibly part of another, larger cycle of approx.. 500 years length. In astro-terms he may have been identifying the Neptune-Pluto cycle (approx. 500 years) and the declination cycles of these same two planets. What he noted was that the ‘century’ cycle could be subdivided into four sub divisions and that 90% of leaders of nations recorded by history as being ‘great or good’, led their respective nations during just one of these four ‘segments’. These
leaders presided through periods when social unrest declined.
Using this cyclical analysis, it is probable that the next phase in the century cycle – which should bring increased artistic endeavour, will not begin for at least another decade and probable that many areas of the world will be afflicted by war before that next phase begins.
Where there is no violence there is discontent. Within the European Union, there is considerable dissatisfaction with its administration. All this is entirely in keeping with the present Uranus-Pluto phase which only begins to diminish in April (and just head of the UK general election).
As
viewed from Earth, that aspect peaks once again mid December. Slightly ahead of that, at the December Full Moon, break-up or re-structuring proposals may well gather strength. Meetings planned to take place between December 4th and 15th will surely provide riveting material for journalists and their audience even as proposals test the mettle of the politicians involved.
MARKETS
Trading through the October eclipse period was as volatile as anticipated with the low points to which some indices fell offering rich material for the financial astrologer. The next significant date is Monday November 10th which should provide further clues as to likely resistance levels for the coming months.
That whole week offers another bumpy ride for investors with the banking sector in the news again around the Last Quarter Moon on 14th. It is around then too that we may hear more about proposed interest rate rises leading, possibly, to another market ‘low’ on Tuesday 18th. Two other dates of possible ‘low’ significance are November 28th and 29th. The
following week appears much more positive and, in the run into the December Full Moon (6th) indices will probably be pushing upward once more.
HOPE
As explained in a recent letter I have been looking at charts for African nations. It seems to me that it is this vast
continent that warrant attention by investors. From fashion, through cosmetics and jewelry and on to mining, pharmaceuticals and construction, there are so many possibilities for growth at many, many levels. Of course there are some regions involved in horrendous struggles. Even so, there are many positive signals out there. Indeed, as some parts of the world respond negatively to present planetary pictures, it may be that there are others that will respond quite
differently.
LOOKING FORWARD
I will be viewing the next Full Moon (December 6th) from the shores of Lake Ontario as I will be in Toronto, giving lectures that weekend (more information on the
website).
Long before then I hope to have a confirmed schedule for speaking engagements in 2015 as well as announcing the dates for the revised foundation financial course and the research financial course to be made available to those students who attended courses in 2014.
What I can confirm immediately is that the Solstice Webinar will go ahead on Sunday December 21st at 15.00 GMT. This webinar will cover the first quarter of 2015 in depth and an overview of the whole of 2015. The cost is £25 (inc VAT where applicable). If you would like to attend, or give this as a gift, please email office@cityscopes.com.
For now, wishing you health, contentment and prosperity,
Yours from the stars
Christeen
