Dear Fellow Star Gazers,
Happy Hunter's Moon
Yes, I know that this is also a lunar eclipse and a 'Blood Moon' and that you might query the use of the word 'happy'! This monthly letter though is a way of tuning into natural rhythms which are, of course, part of the natal wonders of our world and to be
appreciated.
Most predictions are based on what's happened in the past when similar configurations appeared. Using that method this eclipse, the second of two that are part of series concluding in September 2015, raises the probability of escalation of violence in the Middle East and attention turning to Israel's position. Whatever the geographical name of this region, history shows that during these 'blood moon
periods', major events tend to involve the peoples of this region.
The lunar eclipse takes place within orb of a 'Moon Wobble' period. These periods occur approximately every 86.5 days when the Sun aligns with either of the lunar nodes or is at right angles to the nodal axis. How much orb or leeway is allowed is the subject of much discussion amongst professional astrologers. It has been suggested that with the Moon
'wobble' affects humankind adversely: judgement is impaired, reactions not always 'reasonable' and disputes have the potential to escalate exponentially. Given that this lunar eclipse lies across the Aries-Libra axis, the potential for relationship upheaval is great. The peace-makers of the world will surely find their abilities stretched to the full over the next fortnight especially.
In the market-place we should
anticipate considerable volatility - at least until the solar eclipse on October 23rd. This does, of course, give rise to the possibility of promising buying opportunities should shares fall. Whether or not you could or should take advantage of such opportunities requires the experience of a trusted financial advisor as well, perhaps, as analysis of your natal chart.
So, how best to roll with these cosmic punches?
First thing is to mark your diary and know that these next two weeks could see extra-ordinary reaction. Take care not to panic!
In terms of trading, this same period should offer excellent opportunity to assess the well-being of companies whose shares might rise from next July. Those to focus on include the data management sector, health industry, fuel efficiency and building (infra-structure) projects.
The metals still have my attention: particularly silver which I regard as being a good buy. Of course, it all depends on how often you trade. If you're going for long-term (say over 3 years), then today's prices could be seen as a bargain. Those more interested in day trading will be interested in how these Moon wobble periods have brought fluctuations in the past. You can find lists of these dates on the web and with access to
historic data, may find a suitable trading strategy. My personal favourite platform for testing is Market Analyst (www.market-analyst.com) where you can plot lunar positions (and many other things as well).
Mercury is now retrograde. There are some who consider these periods negative for communications. This isn't always the case. That
said, with Mercury retrograde in one of the Air signs (Libra) from 11th to 25th, misunderstandings could occur. Add this effect to the lunar wobble, and the next few weeks could be traumatic in the world of business and commerce where just one inopportune comment has the potential to severely damage the wealth of a business. Business leaders should try to listen more and say less, whilst PR people should be ready to effect damage limitation exercises.
Nor should we discount the possibility of natural disaster - perhaps more than one - as the Moon exerts particular pull on the Earth's crust. Tempting as it is to draw the conclusion that the danger period is over the Hunter's Moon eclipse, it could be later in the month - perhaps around the solar eclipse, when movement below the Earth's surface gives rise to catastrophe at local level. Between October 22nd and 25th, the Moon makes several occultations
any of which could contribute to earth-stress.
I remain concerned about government debt and bonds. If some research I've been working on proves correct, then some scary stories about these could emerge in the next two weeks though it might be another 18 months before enormous difficulties have to be faced. Though some may think that we are out of the financial woods, I really don't think so.
On the positive side, the coming solar eclipse - in the first degree of Scorpio, marks the potential for 'turning a fresh page' - especially for those born under this sign and who may have felt the effect of Saturn moving through this sign acutely (Saturn moves on into Sagittarius in December). I will be talking about the likely impact of this transit in Toronto in early December (details on the website).
You may recall on-going research focused on the African continent. The more I work on this, the more excited I get. This seems to me to be an area ripe for growth - especially between now and the end of the decade. I'm not quite ready to present this work yet but hope to incorporate it into the financial course scheduled for November 21st and in the on-line course being prepared for 2015.
For now, hoping that you are seriously affected by lunar wobble!
Yours from the Stars
Christeen
