Dear Fellow Star-Gazers,
Happy Full Moon!
If you’d gone to a film company with the present political and financial tale (wherever you live), it would doubtless be suggested that you needed to edit your script. The antics between the last Full Moon and this have been quite extraordinary. But then, so are the formations of the planets – not to mention a sunspot that clearly belongs to the next cycle when
this one has yet to complete. We live in interesting times!
My forecasts in the last Full Moon letter were not wide of the mark – the recent negative stock market activity and Prime Minister May’s difficulties particularly.
Notwithstanding the conjecture that agreement will be reached in the next few days (and as the Sun and Jupiter conjoin - a not unknown feature of treaties), I am still of the opinion that there will be further shocks to come. First though a few thoughts about Brexit:
Mercury and Venus arrived at stations with the recent First Quarter Moon at 23 Aquarius: this picking up a key zodiacal area for the UK (and in Theresa May’s chart) If my reading of the planetary pictures is correct, then another, and so far hidden story, is playing out and – in the case of Brexit – will see a conclusion to those ‘behind the scenes’ negotiations
in December 2019 – not December 2020 which is presently given (at least as of today) as being the end of the ‘transition’ period.
The Brexit vote was taken under the most extraordinary (peculiar?) of planetary pictures. That negotiations have been so messy can be put down to the retrograde Mars on the day of the vote (plus its actual zodiacal position in relation to many of the charts for Great Britain) and the combined forces of Uranus and Ceres. The story (resolution) of that planetary
picture is not yet played out. A possible conclusion is when Mars reaches 23 Scorpio (in direct motion) in late December 2019. Agreed it seems unlikely that politicians will have another agreement to put forward during the Christmas 2018 break but that’s what the astrology suggests to me.
Mercury is presently retrograde: this retrograde being highly unusual in nature when both declination and Mercury’s cycles with other planets are taken into account. This, and whilst reflecting on a talk I gave 7 years ago in Florida which was built around the Neptune-Pluto cycle, leads to me to wonder what strings are being pulled behind the scenes and if
another agenda isn’t at work.
If I am correct – and the charts seem to back up my thinking – then another ‘deal’ could be on the table before the end of December 2018, and will see ‘action stations’ around the Solar Eclipse in July 2019 that lead to a critical meeting in the last week of September 2019.
The chart for the European Union (based on the Treaty of Rome) indicates clearly that many European countries will want to see it renegotiated after Pluto changes signs in 2024. Whilst it is understandable that all eyes are on Brexit presently, it ought not to be forgotten that there are other unhappy nations and that a total rethink of the union will doubtless
be underway before long.
But what does this mean in financial terms? My view is that once Jupiter reaches Capricorn (December 3rd 2019) that sterling’s (GBP) value will increase: presumably after many trade deals are put in place post the September 2019 meetings. The pound’s value against the US dollar and Euro is presently low and could fall lower still during Mercury’s next
retrograde period in March 2019.
WORLD INDICES
Since the lunar eclipse of late January 2018, Mercury, Venus and Mars have all stationed at similar Fixed degrees. This theme continues through autumn 2019. I wonder if after Mercury's station in November 2019 that the present day trend of buy-backs will come to a halt. That would doubtless bring a financial reckoning like no other and be a fundamental part of
the great financial reset that many astrologers anticipate in 2020.
But what of the present? The next Full Moon coincides with the December solstice – arguably one of the most powerful days of the year and yes, we should expect drama at that time (a new Brexit proposal included). That document might not be made public until after the next New Moon (December 7th) which coincides with Mercury’s direct station and with a
Mars-Neptune conjunction in Pisces. Though many may feel that this is muddying the waters still further, Mercury’s change of direction could yet coincide with a fresh approach – which might itself be prompted by panicked actions on Monday 3rd December when many indices could lose value.
Dramas on the other side of the Atlantic continue. Yet it seems that no country is immune to political strife presently: wholly consistent with Uranus at right angles to the lunar node axis and an aspect that holds through the first two months of 2019. I anticipate major corrections – in the markets and in governments after Chiron reaches the world axis on
February 19th. Until then the key word must be volatile.
As you might imagine I have been super busy through this last month. I am though ready for the December webinar reviewing the outlook for 2019. This event will be held on Sunday 16th December at 15.00 GMT. The cost is £40 (GBP). To reserve a place or order the recording, please email office@cityscopes.com. We will then invoice you. Please do not send payment until you receive the invoice.
The response to my request for house purchase dates was amazing. It is going to take time to work through all these. Thank you again to all those who sent in data. As promised I will report my findings.
I am looking forward to seeing many of you again in Florida in February where I am sharing the platform with my colleague Priscilla Costello whose talk on Singletons I am much looking forward to. Sunday 10th February will be devoted to financial astrology. Bookings for this event can be made through www.southfloridaastrology.com
For now,
Yours from the stars
