Dear Fellow Star-Gazers,
Happy Hunter’s Full Moon!
As we know, the Moon does not keep a regular distance from Earth. Indeed, the cycle between its perigee (nearest) to apogee (furthest from Earth) is of considerable importance in financial astrology.
The Moon isn’t at perigee today but will be on Monday (6th). This
isn’t its closest perigee of the year (that was back in May) but it will surely affect market (trading) behaviour. In this instance, and bearing in mind that Saturn and Uranus form an exact trine on May 11th, this could be another spur that pushes markets higher.
If you really are a ‘sky watcher’, then you’ll know that Venus has been aligned with the star, Spica, in recent days and that by Monday 13th, Venus will appear close to Jupiter in Scorpio.
The latter has special significance. It certainly suggests ‘big’ things. These though, are not always ‘good’.
You don’t have to look far for Scorpio news stories that aptly describe the link between Jupiter and this sign: sex scandals, political intrigue and vast sums of money apparently laundered. Jupiter doesn’t do things quietly and this is just the start. Expect things to get really messy after Mars joins Jupiter in Scorpio on December
9th.
But what about something else with which Scorpio has links: tax? This could yet be as big a story – and not just in the USA. By the end of the year and Jupiter’s semi-square to Saturn (at the Winter solstice and as Saturn moves to Capricorn), brakes could be applied so that the year doesn’t end with market highs at the levels some might hope.
On December 1st, and for the last time until 2096, Mars in Libra opposes
Uranus in Aries. That this aspect coincides with Mercury’s arrival at a station and a Full Moon, and taking into account Saturn’s crossing of the Galactic centre (twice already in 2017 owing to a retrograde period but yet to coincide with losses as occurred on the three occasions it made this passage through the 20th century), the early days of December could prove treacherous for traders.
Advice? Well, if you are in the market already, you could simply look
away if there are falls and be assured that recovery should come by next summer when Saturn and Uranus come close to forming another trine aspect (this time in Earth signs). If you want to invest though, you could use any dips – most likely in early December – as buying opportunities.
POLITICS
Already, there is uncertainty across Europe as the peoples of Spain and Catalonia redefine their relationship. A quick review of two important charts
for Spain suggests that it will take until at least next September before this situation reaches resolution.
If we consider the chart for the Treaty of Rome (foundation of present day Europe) it is not too difficult to surmise its collapse by the middle of the next decade (after Pluto moves into Aquarius).
How one wishes that instead of trying to keep this tattered treaty working, that politicians would work on a replacement model: a European club that works
for all its members.
That idea might well gather momentum by the end of 2017 – especially if scandals reach and then undermine the present system.
PRECIOUS METALS
I am not a numerologist but do see a link between planetary positions and prices. With gold in particular hovering over a key level, I believe its price is preparing to move: most likely by December 9th. Silver is on a different trajectory and should do well after
Saturn moves into Capricorn. That said, there may be minor highs here on December 4th and 18th.
FOREX
As I have explained in various presentations in recent years, the world of currencies is changing – and at speed. This is not just about Bitcoin but a whole array of digital currencies and new ways of effecting financial transactions.
For many people though, and at a basic level, of greatest concern
is the relationship between USD and GBP or EUR and CAD, MXN or AUD or Iraqi Dinar. The list is huge. What most people seek is evidence of a strong move – not minor fluctuation.
With Saturn, Chiron and Uranus all changing sign whilst Jupiter moves through Scorpio between now and next November, the probability of those large moves increases – though probably not before the next Full Moon letter!
Before then I will have visited temples to Venus and
Apollon whilst on a writing sabbatical. Thanks to the work of my colleague, Arielle Guttman whose fabulous book Venus Star Rising now has prominent place on my desk, I am reviewing Venus’ role in trading generally and hope to add these findings to this new work.
EVENTS
It was a delight to speak to the new Jupiter Group in London last month. I hope to meet up with them again at the Faculty’s Oxford 70th anniversary event in Oxford next
summer. Before then, there is Florida in January (13th in Fort Lauderdale), the UAC event in May in Chicago, the AA’s 60th anniversary in June and both Montreal and Toronto in July.
For now,
Yours from the stars
Christeen
