Dear Fellow Star-Gazers
Happy Full Moon!
(I am assured that this message is device responsive but if you do have difficulty reading this font, please let me know!)
The actual degree of this Full Moon draws attention to some of the main players in the computing/new technologies industries (i.e. Apple, Microsoft, Google
etc) suggesting that the value of these shares may be peaking. Given the nature of the next Full Moon (April 11th) it’s possible that these stocks will witness new highs between this Full Moon and the next.
That said, Venus is retrograde and, just as happened in March 2009, we may yet see major moves this month – perhaps even this week. Wednesday ( March 15th) has been mentioned both for the triggering of Article 50 in the UK and as a possible date
for announcement of interest rate rise in the US.
The chart for the last minute of March 15th (GMT time) contains an opposition between the Moon and Mars as part of a rectangular formation with the lunar nodes. This may be indicative of a ‘fated’ financial day; the repercussions of which may not be felt for some months. It’s rather more complicated in that Venus and Mars are in what is known as ‘mutual reception’. Another reading of the planetary picture suggests a
‘divorce’ moment so yes, Article 50 could be triggered.
And yet…
Fact is that the extra-ordinary formation involving Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto hasn’t yet reached exactitude and is greatly enhanced at next month’s Full Moon. In short, nothing is stable, there is still all to play for and what’s stated as being decided and determined may well not be: over-throws would be entirely in keeping with this dynamic planetary energy. Best advice is
still to expect the unexpected and, maybe, to accept that war cycles are building to crescendo. Dissatisfaction with decisions taken by leaders could make for uncomfortable scenes as sides are taken.
THE GALACTIC CENTRE
The entire solar system swirls around a point in space known as the Galactic centre (presently approx. 27 Sagittarius). Saturn crosses this degree in the coming weeks and stations on it on Thursday April 6th further
accenting the potential for strong market movement. Saturn made this passage three times in the 20th century each time coinciding with a roller coaster financial ride (1929, 1957 and 1987).
Though the next Full Moon (April 11th) could see markets reach all-time highs – perhaps following a day or two of high drama, it would be as well to note that Saturn does not complete its transit to the Galactic Centre until later in the year. None should
be complacent or assume that an upward trend will continue through true, for now, each pull back could bring with it a buying opportunity.
With Venus moving from Evening to Morning star status between this Full Moon and the next, we may yet see a change in fortunes: ‘winners’ could become ‘losers’. Dates when marked movement is likely include Tuesday March 28th, Friday 31st and Monday April
3rd.
TRUMP
The new US President has been described as ‘The Disruptive President’. His actions in the last 100 days since taking office certainly mirror present planetary tensions. A review of his chart suggests that the first week of April will find him singularly challenged – most probably from the financial perspective. He could also face yet more legal challenges that week. (This in turn could lead to him to issue an extra-ordinary
executive order soon after the April 11th Full Moon).
GOLD
That first week in April could work well for gold prices – though another turning point in these seems likely before the end of April. i.e. if there is an upswing it might not last long.
THE EQUINOX
Between this Full Moon and the next, there is the Spring Equinox: a chart looked at in detail at the NCGR conference in Baltimore
last month. Charts for the Vernal Equinox give useful pointers as to the year ahead. In this instance, though under-pinned by a good aspect between Saturn and Uranus, there is a near exact conjunction between the Moon and Saturn (at the Galactic Centre). Not only does this speak of the growing number of refugees seeking shelter, and the high probability of strong border controls, it might also be indicative of a slowing down of growth – most likely from the September
Equinox.
CAPRICORN
Coincident with the March Equinox, there is a Last Quarter Moon at 0 Capricorn. This sign of the zodiac grows in prominence from the end of 2017. Events taking place around March 20th then are likely to gain particular momentum and will surely dominate headlines though to the end of the decade and beyond.
ECHOES, FORECASTS and SOLAR RHYTHMS
In forecasting, we return
to similar planetary configurations from the past, viewing these as having the potential for repetition. Yet the cosmos does not do ‘exact’ repeats: like a long playing West End or Broadway show, every performance is different. True, we may yet hear the tunes and chords and variations of political thinking of the 1930s, but the world stage is now different taking into account the slower moving bodies like newly discovered Sedna. So, perhaps no repeat of the 1930s depression but a definite sense
of growing disquiet and belligerence.
Present-day solar rhythms give cause for alarm. Crop cycles may well be affected with subsequent effect on food prices. Political divisions aside, many may need to move to find areas where they can grow and find food. The UN has already announced the need for exceptional humanitarian aid to assist those now displaced. From the planetary perspective, that cry is likely to grow louder: challenging all to consider how best to
share and protect Earth’s resources.
With all this in mind, I have started to sketch the first chapters of my next book which I hope will be a guide to navigating the coming years.
Also on my desk are notes for the next event - again with my good friend colleague Margaret Gray in Dublin from May 12th – 14th. This one is very much ‘back by public demand’ as attendees at our January event were most insistent that we
should not leave it a year until we met again! Details will be on the website this week. This event will focus on Venus and on Chart Interpretation. Email me directly if you can’t wait for the ‘official’ notice!
It was good to meet so many of you in Baltimore last month. I will be speaking twice at the United Astrology Conference in Chicago in May 2018 – a great honour and a chance to catch up with you all again I hope.
Before then there is both
Dublin and Toronto (July 2017 and details already on the website) to look forward to – and, at some time between now and May 2018 I hope – a visit to my very good friends in Florida.
For now,
Yours from the stars
