Dear Fellow Stargazers,
Happy Full Moon - and Lunar eclipse!
Feeling stressed? Not sure which way to turn? Too busy to even think? Perhaps you can blame it all on the present planetary formations some of which have not been seen since the early 1930s.
This weekend we enter that ‘strange’ period between two eclipses (lasting
until the Solar eclipse on Sunday February 26th) when we know that the geo-magnetic field will be affected. It is perhaps unsurprising that people behave differently through these periods and that as a result, history often records these periods as eventful. Given the actual position of the coming solar eclipse and the planetary pictures formed that same day, it is quite possible that the Earth will move and that a serious natural disaster will
occur.
The path of the solar eclipse is in the Southern hemisphere and arguably if there is any disturbance it could be oceanic and affect South America – especially Chile.
Even without this natural event, the coming two weeks should keep journalists and newscasters busy. Determining what the top-line story should be might not be easy!
A decided change of pace after February 26th is indicated and might
well affect markets on Monday February 27th. On that date, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus form a rare planetary picture suggesting – amongst other things – military action and potential explosion. It’s as likely that markets will over-react with large swings.
The next Full Moon is on March 12th by which time Venus will be in retrograde motion in Aries as was the case in 2009 and in 2001. You may remember that these were years of significant market drama.
2017 is unlikely to be any different – especially as this coincides with Saturn crossing the Galactic Centre. Venus stations within days of the April Full Moon (and at right angles to the Galactic Centre) accenting the possibility of a downturn mid April. This possibility is further enhanced by Mercury's arrival in finance-orientated Taurus earleir that month.
I remain of the opinion that a sharp drop – or even a correction – is more likely than not. Two periods in
the immediate future stand out: late February and mid-March. If we come through these periods unscathed then the next key epriod is mid April.
In preparing the numerous slides needed for my presentations at next week’s National Council for Geocosmic Research conference in Baltimore (www.ncgrconference2017.com), I have spent more time than usual researching currency pairings. (In next Friday’s talk I will give attention to USD, Mexican Peso, GBP and the Euro). I am struck
by just how ‘moody’ each currency is. That ought not to have come as a surprise - yet it has. There appear to be clear links between lunar position and currency direction.
No less important though is the Mars cycle which seems to offer a powerful backdrop rhythm. An ingress by this planet often marks a turning point. That being the case – though for rather different reasons than those present on February 27th, Friday March 10th should
prove significant.
Before that date, and as Venus comes to retrograde station (March 4th), Jupiter and Uranus oppose one another. Jupiter is by far the larger of the two planets and even with Venus and Uranus at the other end of this ‘tight-rope’, Jupiter should prevail in this apparent tug of war. Jupiter is associated with the law and in the sign of Libra, the accent is on what is fair and equitable. The Supreme Courts of various nations should expect to be
busy. Laws will be challenged with rebels (Uranus) demanding that their voices be heard.
Whilst it is easy to see all this at work in the news bulletins, the effect on individuals must surely be considerable. All of us may well be ‘pulled in different directions’ and under extreme stress as a result. Hold the thought that these times too will pass though and, where possible, enjoy the ride!
These conditions offer excellent ground for forming new
friendships and developing entrepreneurial talents (though it would be wise not to start anything new until Venus has re-crossed the retrograde station mid-May).
Against this extraordinary cosmic background, the Beginner's Guide to Financial Astrology will be launched at the conference next week. I'm not at all sure how I feel about this - but do hope that the material within will prove useful to readers and hopefully inspire further
research.
Following the opening ceremonies at the NCGR conference I am privileged to be part of a financial panel speaking on the outlook for equities, gold, currencies and property. Together with Bill Meridian, Mitch Lewis, Grace Morris and Georgia Stathis we will put forward our views on the coming months and years. I will update you on our collective findings in the next Full Moon letter.
For now,
Wishing you safety,
good friendships, health and, successful trading
Yours from the stars
Christeen
