November 14th FULL MOON LETTER

November 14th 2016

Dear Fellow Star-Gazers,

Happy Full and Super-Moon!!

As you may know, I always did find it hard to see Hillary Clinton taking the Oath of Office. But I also had misgivings about Mr Trump as key player that day. The chart for midday on January 20th is a curious one and bring to mind words such as ‘accountability’, ‘sadness’ and ‘dis-ease’. I’m not yet convinced that the event will go ahead that day – but perhaps I will be as wrong about that as I was about a Democrat win. I've put an article about this chart on the website.

Looking at Donald Trump’s chart, I wonder too if he will even move into the White House. If he does, I suspect that he will hate it. I’m sure too that within the space of a year he will feel tied and constricted – legally and financially. He experienced near bankruptcy in 1990 and no doubt learnt much from that experience. That theme could play again however – and perhaps louder next time.

Looking at his astro-geography map I note that his Mars line runs directly slightly to the East of Moscow, through Syria, part of Iraq and Saudi Arabia. That line is activated throughout 2017. It is hard to imagine that US forces will not be involved in these regions under his command.

He was born with Jupiter and Uranus a third of a cycle apart. This is a fortunate combination suggesting flair, imagination and potential genius (especially where television is involved). With his Ascendant at the midpoint of the two, he ‘has his moments’ and clearly has no difficulty in getting all fired up and gaining attention.  This midpoint is activated several times each day. It wouldn’t take an astrologer long to identify the timing. If analysis were to show that his most outrageous comments are made when this part of his chart is activated, then perhaps those potentially disastrous outbursts could be avoided. I suspect however, that even if his team knew of these timings they would be unable to restrain him. There is though a brilliance about this part of his chart. Let’s hope that it can be put to work positively.

First though, and before the January Inauguration there are some tricky planetary pictures to negotiate: at the end of November and through early December. (Especially December 7th). More upsets could yet occur throwing many plans up in the air. I note that the President Elect is due in court over those dates – which is interesting. These appointments could be deferred of course and may be part of the very considerable challenges he faces in 2017.

Yet these alignments will work at many levels and could as easily apply to political upheaval in other parts of the world.  Whatever, we should be prepared for more scandals to emerge between now and the next Full Moon.

But what of the next four years? We are headed toward solar minimum (end of the decade) and between now and then, taken with both the Jupiter-Saturn cycle and lunar rhythms, weather patterns will surely be cause for alarm. The US Mid-West and Australia could experience severe drought whilst increased rainfall bring natural disasters in the East and in South America. Hurricanes are likely to be more frequent and affect the US Eastern seaboard. It won’t be just the US President faced with events quite beyond human control of course but it will surely be extra hard for someone with no experience of dealing with the aftermath of such events.
In other newsletters I have made mention of the possibility of a Coronal Mass Ejection from the Sun affecting satellite systems and creating havoc on Earth.

Whilst it’s likely impossible to be protected from such a catastrophe, it will surely be imperative for us all to have a sound network of local friendships to rely on in such an event. Frankly, I view this as being a priority investment for everyone. If the position of the planets is a factor in solar activity, then the close of the decade would seem the most likely period for a CME-induced breakdown of civilization – no matter who holds presidential office.

Today’s Full Moon is also a Super-Moon - with the Moon at perigee (closest to Earth). As might have been expected, the pull on the Earth’s crust is already apparent. Two volcanoes in Peru erupted simultaneously. In recent weeks, as the Moon has moved closer to Earth, Italy has experienced significant earthquake activity. There may yet be more to come.

As many of you will know, I am less than convinced that we have heard the last of the great global financial crisis. With Saturn presently in good aspect to Pluto through the last few weeks, it is understandable that banking stocks have held. That situation might not last. It’s Jupiter’s turn to make right-angle to Pluto on November 24th. Tension in international banking relations is probable. No doubt ways around this difficulty will found over December 9th and 10th with every effort being put in to ensure that the year finishes well. Even so I remain negative about Saturn’s passage over the Galactic centre (Feb through May 2017) and the general planetary picture through September-October 2017.

Yes, I am aware that according to one notable cycle, decline in stocks is not due until the lunar node crosses into Cancer (late 2018). I think though that the fault lines will soon appear and that next year will prove highly challenging.

That said, there are areas that ought to do well. These include pharmaceuticals, defence, security and insurance which should bring good return - even bucking the trend if indices generally experience turbulence in 2017. I continue to think that precious metals are a good long-term investment. Here it would surely be wise to think beyond gold. I still favour silver but there are many other metals that should do well.

I will be presenting a full forecast for 2017 as a webinar on December 31st. Before then there is a webinar on the Astro-Property cycle on Saturday November 26th.

The next ‘big’ events are in Dublin, with my colleague Margaret Gray, in January, and the NCGR conference in Baltimore in February. Full details of all these and some new articles can be found at www.financialuniverse.co.uk.

With thanks again to the many people who gave such positive feedback after the Astrology of Wealth talk in Costa Mesa, California last month. It was good to meet so many of you and to be connected to you now by email.

Looking forward to our continuing friendship.

Yours from the stars

PS: My new book “Exploring the Financial Universe” released around my birthday has got off to a super start. I hope that the first review will be available on the website this week. I am also pleased to say that the ‘Beginner’s Guide to the Financial Universe’ is nearing completion. We hope to have it printed in time for the NCGR Baltimore Conference in February.
