October FULL MOON NEWSLETTER

September 30th, 2012

Dear Fellow Star Gazers,

Happy Full Moon!

This Moon is aligned with unpredictable Uranus. Positioned between this combination and the Sun is Pluto - the planet of passion and upheaval. Unsurprisingly there is marked tension in several areas of the world (Madrid, Aleppo, Athens etc) - not to mention a nasty-looking typhoon headed toward Japan. As was expected, this Full Moon has coincided with powerful energies being unleashed.

I always thought September 2012 would be a key period for the Euro. True, we haven't had a nation leaving as I thought might happen, but we must surely be getting close to restructuring.

The markets began this three month period (starting at the Equinox) in good form: something which might, in part, be attributed to Mars' move through Scorpio and its position at close of trade in both London and Wall Street. This is very much a 'transit' phase and, when it finishes later in October we should expect deterioration.

This coming Friday (October 5th), Saturn enters Scorpio for the first time in three decades. If we look back to Saturn's last transit through this sign, the FTSE suffered loss following this ingress. History may well repeat.

The middle dates of November are particularly problematic. Though others may think that equities are staying high until after the US election, I think this may be rather more to do with planetary pictures! Mid November these change markedly with a crash cycle at work by the First Quarter Moon on November 20th.

Given that the US election takes place on a Mercury retrograde station and that election dates with a similar Mercury emphasis (Australia comes to mind), proved inconclusive and were legally challenged, the final outcome might not be known for some weeks. Uncertainty would surely affect equities. The November solar eclipse occurs within 24 hours of the Moon's occultation of Mercury (13th and 14th November) - cosmic factors suggesting problematic commercial activity.

It would make sense if markets responded negatively to Saturn's Scorpio ingress and fell for a short time on Friday 5th and even, perhaps, in early trading on Monday 8th. Yet it may be that Jupiter 'saves the day': the approaching trine to the Sun on October 9th could keep markets up (or perhaps exaggerate the fall!). Either way we're back to volatility and the need to take safe-guarded trading positions.

I'm still looking for more bad news to come from the banking sector - most likely in the days following the October New Moon. Thursday 18th and Friday 19th could prove interesting. I'm expecting a big story too - something along the lines of the libor scandal.

For the record, I am still bullish on gold, platinum and silver. There may be minor fluctuations but, for me, gold bought below 1800 should prove profitable. I am also expecting platinum's price to move upward between Saturn's Scorpio ingress (5th) and the New Moon on 15th.

On the indices, it may be that the Sun Saturn conjunction on October 25th brings a low (buying opportunity). I will be looking to buy in at this point and to sell on Monday November 5th. I might not catch the exact low or get out at the exact high, but there should be profit.

Future plans here include webinars for the IAA (December) and ISAR in January and, of course, my big trip to Florida that month followed by Philadelphia (NCGR) in August plus trips to Singapore and Canada still to schedule. My Sagittarius Moon is very happy!

I am approaching the end of my 60th year and am delighted to have crossed off my list so many of the things that I wanted to do this year. (Aside from the astro-highlights, I returned to my musical roots for a short time and participated in a concert in Dublin which is now a much treasured memory!).

What will now be carried over to next year is finishing the book and running astro-finance Internet classes. I'm determined to get these underway before the Sun leaves Libra. If you're interested, please let me know - that might be the final boost needed to making it happen.

Hoping that things are well with you and that Saturn's Scorpio ingress brings enjoyable challenges your way.

Until next time

Yours

Christeen
